Elina Roldán and Julio Mendez are another of the exciting couples to emerge during tango's modern revival. They both cut their tango teeth in the milongas of Buenos Aires, walking the innumerable kilometers in the salons that the milongueros say is the true measure of one's tango. They have also both traveled extensively in Europe teaching and performing. Elina's experience as a performer includes show tours in South America and Japan. The videos that they offer here are examples of a modern fusion of tango styles. Also look for Elina in the Follower's technique section and accompanying milonguero Tommy O'Connell in his videos.
