Norberto "Pulpo" Ésbréz has been dancing tango seriously for more than 15 years. In fact, he comes from a tango family. His father was a bandoneon player. He started in the school of Rodolfo Dinzel, and was a contemporary of Gustavo Naveira during the formative years at the practice at Cochabamba. He has developed his own unique style, characterized by an uncanny use of the interior spaces created by the legs of a tango duet, thus his nickname, "The Octopus", or in Spanish, "El Pulpo". Many of his ideas about tango technique and execution are unusual, even in a tango world filled with unique styles, and that makes his videos a challenge to any attachments you may have. We highly recommend you begin with "Technique" so that the "Art" of the octopus will make sense to you later. All of these videos are packed with material. Pulpo is accompanied and translated by his partner of 3 years, Luiza Paes. (BttTV 2000)
