Petaca is another of the important milongueros who has nurtured the rebirth of the tango since the 1980s and helped to reintroduce the tradition of social tango dancing to the new generation. He has been a generous support and invaluable resource for these young dancers, many of whom have become the famous stars of today. Petaca has been dancing since he was in his teens, now more than fifty years ago. He has a very unique style of dancing the milonga, using pauses, as well as many personal stylistic touches in his tango. He generously shares himself, his dancing, and his life experience in the milonga. His partner, Eugenia, dances fantastic adornments. This video provides another superb experience of an authentic milonga personality, and is especially insightful if you have not yet visited Buenos Aires. Filmed in 1999 in Buenos Aires.
