BUY: JUAN BRUNO
Juan Bruno was known as "The Kid from Ciudadela," because he started becoming famous in 1940 at the age of 16. He is one of the last active dancers who remain from the "golden years" of the 1940's, a living treasure chest of tango. Juan has traveled frequently to Europe to many enthusiastic audiences. In this tape, more than forty figures are shown, and Juan dances eight demonstration dances, including several solos and performances from his 1995 U.S. visit with Rebecca and with Daniel. Rebecca translates clearly throughout. Juan begins teaching posture and lead and follow. He then teaches figures from both Salon and "Orillero" (figures style) tango. This video is a gem. Produced and edited by Daniel. (approx. 90 mins.)
